01 Sep How To Withdraw A Resignation Letter
Jobs in Pakistan can be full of aweing opportunities, sometimes these opportunities struck us so surprisingly that we present a resignation from existing job without giving much of a thought. Or we regret our resignation because the offer doesn’t seem that attractive after a brooding session or it could be any other reason for which we feel bad about our resign and thinks to take it back. Though it is very difficult to retract a resignation, however, applying following methods ensure hope.
Write it up: Right the moment you realize you want to stick to your current job instead of switching, write a formal email to the HR department of your office to explain that you want to withdraw your resignation. Keep it precise, direct and explanatory. Use all your professionalism in writing this. State your reason why you want to withdrawal it as well. Once you are done with an official written application, now you’ll move to discuss this decision in person with concerned management. If you are retracting your resignation due to a counter offer made by the company, refer to that directly in your letter.
Talk in person: Talking in person have the edge of conveying our thoughts through our body language. Therefore, first thing you should is to talk to the HR manager directly and explain to them that you want to take your resignation back. In your retraction letter, you need to explain why you plan to switch earlier and what made you rethink it. Moreover explain those reasons which make you stay at your current job, was it an increment or chances of career growth. By doing this you will make a serious point that you want your job back.
Understand the situations and wait for response: Fortunately or unfortunately, your boss is not under any obligation to accept your withdrawal, particularly if you have submitted a formal letter in writing to announce your resign. Similarly, if you have not explained your reason of departure than it’s not a hopeful lane you are entering. However, future of your retraction letter depends on the significance of your services, and timing of your resignation. If you have a terrific past work record, you might get it right but wait for the final call patiently.
