Discovering problems in workplace could be considered as half the battle. In this case, we should know that there’s an issue in the workplace. Regardless of the scenario and situation, we should work out where the problems are coming from and why they are occurring. Just like in any problem-solving situation, honesty is the main ingredient and its importance can’t be reinforced enough.

We should remove any barrier of pride and denial. It is important to help us to work out causes where the issues are radiating from. The actual cause could be us or other external factors.

If the problem is with our colleagues and bosses, we could come to a conclusion that their personality doesn’t click with ours. Although we don’t bicker with one another, colleagues and bosses could be overly critical and somewhat disrespectful of our work results. In this situation, we should be able to see the bigger picture and regardless of our experiences, there could be things that are foreign to us. It could be quite frustrating if our colleagues or bosses become overly critical regardless of our good progress.

In this situation, it is perfectly acceptable to ask people in the workforce for advices and solutions. There could be a few colleagues who are closer to us and they could help us gain a better understanding of other colleagues and boss. If we are new, it is important to tread very carefully. In this situation, we can’t really trust anyone, so we should be very careful when discussing such a topic. There could be a possibility that our “close” friends at work are actually closer to our opponents.

We shouldn’t blurt out or vent out our frustration to fellow employees by talking bad about someone in the office. Other colleagues and our boss could sense that something is work and the situation could work in our disadvantage. It would be helpful if we find out latest developments in the workplace. We couldn’t burn the bridges and cause rifts, especially before we have enough allies at the workplace. After all, our primary goal should be to resolve our issues with our colleagues or boss, instead of beating them down.

To be honest, resolving issues in our workplace can be among the trickiest things in our career. However, we could only act if we admit that there’s a problem and we are willing to work out the source of problem. There are many things we could do and the simplest way is by riding the storm. In this case, there’s only individual who could determine the most suitable course of action and the person is us.

By riding the storm, we could just endure the difficulties in the workplace. This is suitable if could “turn off” our emotion and work like a robot. In some cases, we could slowly gain respect and recognition by accepting things that happen in the workplace. However, we should be wary of this option, because it requires a great capacity of mental strength.
